Hellraiser es una película británica de terror lanzada al mercado en el año 1987, explora temas tales como el sadomasoquismo, la relación entre el dolor y el placer, y la moralidad de personajes sometidos al temor y a la tentación. Basada en la aclamada novela escrita por Clive Barker llamada The Hellbound Heart quien escribió y dirigió esta película. Es también la primera película de una saga que llega hasta el año 2006. Originalmente fue llamada Sadomasochists From Beyond the Grave.
